Binance has closed one promise that has been hanging since November 1: the full cryptographic proof for its October 31 reserves is done. In its fifth recovery update, on Monday, November 2, Binance said the zero-knowledge proof for the snapshot taken October 31 at 00:00 UTC was finished within its estimated timeframe. A day ahead of the November 3 target quoted by November 1 sources. Holders of 10 tokens can now check for themselves instead of taking the announcement on trust.
The ten tokens you can check
The tokens covered: BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD, and ZEC. Binance says user balances in each are backed at least 1:1. The check runs like this: log in to your Binance account through the official site, then download the verifier from the Proof of Reserves page. Two cryptographic tools do the work. A Merkle tree proves your account balance is inside the snapshot. A zk-SNARK proves total reserves cover total balances at least 1:1 without revealing anyone's balance. The verifier is open source on GitHub and independently audited, according to Binance.
What is not covered
The replacement figure moved too: Binance now says about 95% of the $6.3 billion stolen is covered, up from 90% on October 31. The remaining 5% is less liquid assets outside those 10 tokens. And the proof has limits worth stating plainly. It covers only those 10 tokens, at the moment of the October 31 snapshot. It is not a full financial audit of the company, it does not verify off-chain liabilities, and it says nothing about changes after the snapshot was taken.
What comes next
Binance plans its next snapshot for November 4, covering more tokens, and generating the next proof is expected to take 40 to 50 hours. The next withdrawal phase for additional networks and assets starts November 3, with details to follow once preparations are complete. The phase one schedule and the 95% figure are in our phase one article, and the first day of outflows is in our outflows article.
